Most of Asian's main staple is rice. Me and my husband are Asian and grew up eating rice as our main staple, we eat at least one meal a day with rice. In my years as a plain housewife, sometimes I cook too much rice for one meal especially on weekend. On weekend I usually cook one batch of rice in the morning and it will last until dinner but sometimes we have plenty left over that spoil easily. I learned that during summer time it is not advisable to cook rice for 2 meals because the summer heat causes the cook rice to spoil easily than other cold season. So if ever you cook big batch of rice on summer time, add couple teaspoon of white vinegar to prevent it from spoiling easily.
