BUZZ of the DAY!!!

The ex-Beatle was ordered Monday to shell out $48.7 million to his estranged wife, Heather Mills, putting an end to their lengthy and extremely bitter divorce battle.
Mills and McCartney became lovers in 1999, married in June 2002 and separated in late April, 2006. Without a prenup prior to marriage Mills sought a financial divorce deal of $250 million while McCartney offered $30 million.
The judge gave Heather Mills hundreds of millions of dollars less than she wanted after finding her "inconsistent" and "less than candid," according to a scathing judgment made public Tuesday.
"She was a less than impressive witness," says the judge, Justice Bennett. "The wife for her part must have felt rather swept off her feet by a man as famous as the husband. I think this may well have warped her perception leading her to indulge in make-belief."
As for Mills's appearance in court and documentation she provided to support her financial claim, the judge said: "I am driven to the conclusion that much of her evidence, both written and oral, was not just inconsistent and inaccurate but also less than candid."

Eddie would GO!

WHO'S EDDIE?

I really wonder why the surf riders call the big 20-40 footer waves "EDDIE would GO", why they call it EDDIE? I ask my hubby why and he said a few things that EDDIE try to save the people on board the HOKULEA, I just get more confused, after last night on our local news they feature the so called legendary "EDDIE AIKAU", he was born May 4, 1946, and sacrifice his life.
I was so touch about the story of this humble man, in fact I'm in tears while reading it, and I want to share it with you guys. Today March 17, 2008 marks the 30th years of his heroism.

THAT Eddie would go was never seriously in doubt. After a night of clinging to the overturned hull of capsized voyaging canoe Hokule'a, ignored by close-passing ships and aircraft, flares sputtering futilely in the darkness, and islands growing smaller on the churning horizon, in the mid-morning of March 17, 1978, crewman Eddie Aikau insisted on paddling his surfboard for help.
Lanai, he estimated, was only 12 miles away.
But the canoe was being battered by choppy waves and gale-force winds, and the capsized hull rode low in the water, making it difficult to accurately gauge distance. After a conference among the Hokule'a's officers, they decided Eddie could go; indeed, he could not be restrained. Aikau tied the surfboard leash to his ankle and a portable strobe light and some oranges around his neck, and hesitantly tied a life jacket around his waist.
Aikau estimated it would take five hours to reach land. As he paddled away, crew members held hands and said a prayer. Some saw Aikau ditch the clumsy life jacket a few hundred feet from the canoe hull. Others saw him on his knees, paddling strongly, the board riding up and over the grumbling whitecaps, peeking into sight, smaller and smaller as he stroked away. No one ever saw Eddie Aikau again.

MOnster Wave in SPAIN!

This was at La Coruna Spain, a Gigantic waves that sweeps up the cars on the road and some people walking, good thing no body was hurt. That looks like a tsunami or tidal wave to me. Is that a normal kind of wave in Spain? I will be freaking screaming in panic if I will be near that kind waves. Thats dangerous kind already. If thats normal wave in Spain probably they won't build any barrier along the coastline to prevent monster waves and protect the motorist.

The WETTEST place on EARTH!

Mount Waialeale, "Waialeale" means "Rippling Water" with a height of 5,148 feet (1,569 m).
Waialeale is one of the world's wettest spots. Over a period of 32 years the average annual rainfall was 460 inches (11,685 mm), the highest in the world. In 1982, 666 inches (16,916 mm) of rain were recorded on the peak, establishing an official record. Only a few miles away, however, the rainfall drops dramatically to only 10 inches (250 mm) a year.
Nice to spot this mountain is by Hanalei lookout, even that far you can view the falls running down from the peak of mount Waialeale. What a spectacular view.

PEARLS & DIAMONDS

Girls favorite accessories, I really love this ring here, simply because its beauty and the design is so elegant. I personally like pearl surrounded by diamonds, it's so sophisticated, it's so wow in my eyes, and it's so ouch in my pocket! hehehe, I like set jewelries, it's a good investment though, I don't know if its practical or not. I always search for good designs and also trying to make my own design, a little bit simple is elegant to the eyes.

HAWAII Island Hop

This is Kauai Island taken obviously from the sky :), its near airport already upon touchdown. The garden isle as the locals call it, its so enchanting, the views are breath tacking. It's just a small island though but historical and the oldest island among the Hawaiian Island chains. Almost every local people here know each other, so laid back than Honolulu. One of the beautiful spots here is the Waimea canyon by Kokee, Kalalau lookout, dry caves by north shore, the spouting horn by Poipu. Surfers visit this place too, to catch waves by north shore. It so amazing place. I'm so fascinated by the water falls. And did you know that the wettest place on earth is located in Kauai Island, the mount Waialeale. Watch out for more pictures of KAUAI'S Wonders.

The Brides from POOR nations

I found this article in our local paper couple days ago. This is a sort of good and bad idea, the bad thing is when brokers sets in... I'm sure we all have different opinions and reactions about this article.
The changing attitudes about love and marriage in rich Asian countries such as Japan and South Korea are pushing many bachelors to seek out brides in other, poorer nations around the region.
Many Asian men particularly those in rural areas, tend to seek traditional wives who will stay home, doing chores and raising children.
An economic boom in recent decades, means women have options their mother didn't. Better educated, they can have careers -ans opt to stay single until Prince Charming shows up, if he ever does.
Instead the men increasingly seek women from countries such as China, Vietnam and the Philippines, where income level are much lower.
The practice has led to some complaints of abuse and exploitation, particularly when the unions are arranged by third-party brokers.
The men "have more bargaining power" when they travel to poorer countries, "some of this men are looking for the sort of women they can't find (in their own countries)-women to wash their clothes, submissive women."
The trend marks a significant shift in countries that have long been ethnically homogenous. Some local South Korean governments, eager to improve the birthrate in an aging country, even subsidized trips abroad for men seeking foreign wives.
Overall, one in eight South Korean marriages involve a foreigner, according to teh Korean Statistics Office.
In Japan the percentages of mixed marriages rose from 1.88 to 6.1 percent in 2005, according to government population survey that year.According to Japanese insurance industry, more than half of Japanese women in their late 20s are still single, up from 30 percent two decades ago and most single women ages 35-54 have no plans to marry.
Marriages brokers charge up to $20,000 to fly lonely men to places such as Vietnam to inspect potential wives, says Mary Kim, vice president of the Inchon Women's Hotline, which offers language training and counseling to foreign brides.
"They meet each other in the morning and get married in the afternoon," kim says. "Then they go to the hotel. It's a very abnormal way to get married."
The appeal for the women involved is usually economic, at least at first. Rachelle Lim earned $210 a month as a sales clerk in greater Manila until she was paired with South Korean suitor. They met on friday, were married that Sunday, and she flew to South Korea when her visa came through three months later.
She didn't know what she was getting into. her new home was cold, the language difficult. The pungent cuisine took some getting to used to. And her husband's job as a factory manager kept him away from home six days a week. "I cannot say I am happy now." says Lim, 29.

BUZZ of the DAY!!

BRANGELINA GETTING MARRIED!!
YES thats true! they are planning to get married after she gave birth to their twins, and the places they consider to held their quiet nuptial are Santa Barbara or France, or a Budhist ceremony on the beach of ASIA "it's a ceremony a monk would perform that ties their family together".
After Angies trip to war-torn-Iraq, and spoke to several American Soldiers, It's an eye opener to Angie, who is pregnant with twins, "Some of these soldiers had spouses and children at home- and Angie couldn't help thinking about what would happen to her family if something happen to her."
Angie decided to create a legal bond with Brad for the sake of their kids. Although the surnames of Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, and Zahara, 3, have been legally change to Jolie-Pitt, they have not been officially adapted by Brad. "This is about protecting their kids, if they are legally married, then the custody of their children wouldn't been an issue if something happens to Angelina.
Brad, 44 is so trilled and beyond happy, "He has been pushing a wedding since practically the first night they were together."
I'm so excited that they are planning to get married and waiting for it to happen.

PRINCE HARRY!!!

I hope they realized that he's a Prince and an easy target.
He already returned home to England on Saturday after serving for 10 weeks as a soldier in Afghanistan's volatile Helmand province. His secret tour of duty — due to last until April — was abruptly aborted after a magazine and Web sites disclosed details of his whereabouts.
He said "I would love to go back out, and I've already mentioned it to him that I want to go out very, very soon,"
"I would have to be clear that the risks to the operation, in the widest sense of the people deployed on that operation, would be no higher than they would normally be," Stirrup told Britain's Sky News television.
But Harry's elder brother — second in line to the British throne — is likely to serve overseas with the military, probably on board a Royal Navy warship, the defense ministry said.

William could be deployed later this year on a tour to areas such as the South Atlantic, the Persian Gulf, the Pacific Ocean or the West Indies, officials said.

"It's our intention to give Prince William as full a taste of life in the Royal Navy as possible," a Navy spokesman said on customary condition of anonymity.
William — the presumptive future king of Britain — has trained as a fighter pilot and is eager to serve overseas, Harry said.
"I know he'd love to, whether it's on the ground or whether it's 15,000 feet up, bombs strapped to the wings," he said during an interview last week in Afghanistan.
Harry's work in southern Afghanistan involved calling in airstrikes on Taliban positions, as well as foot and tank patrols. He said he was realistic about the consequences of fighting against the Taliban.
"You do what you have to do, what's necessary to save your own guys," he said. "If you need to drop a bomb, worst case scenario then you will, but then that's just the way it is."
Harry said a number of wounded troops were transported home on his flight back to Britain.
"The bravery of the guys out there was humbling," he said.
Prince Charles said Britain's royal family was disappointed the prince had been forced to abandon his tour.
"I feel particular frustration that he was removed unexpectedly early because, apart from anything else, he had been looking forward to coming back with the rest of his regiment," Charles said.
But "you can imagine, it's obviously a great relief, as far as I'm concerned, to see him home in one piece," he said.
Security officials acknowledged that Harry's role in Afghanistan could make him a target for extremists in Britain.
But one government official, who demanded anonymity to discuss sensitive counterterrorism work, said threats already posted on al-Qaida-affiliated Web forums are likely to be aspirational, rather than an indication of actual plots.
One post called for the prince to be killed and a video of his death sent to his family.
Other royals have also seen combat — most recently the princes' uncle, Prince Andrew, who flew Royal Navy helicopters during the 1982 Falklands War. Their grandfather, Prince Philip, served on Royal Navy battleships during World War II.
